"Holy" - Fine Art Print
As I sought the Lord for direction on what to paint, He led me to the song “Agnus Dei”- specifically the recording taken during the Passion Conference 2024. They worship to the song as it was planned in the set but after it’s finished the crowd keeps going. All the instruments die out (even the keys after some time) and it’s just the sound of a stadium full of people singing, “Worthy is the Lamb, worthy is the Lamb. You are Holy, Holy- Are You Lord God, Almighty. Alleluia, Alleluia. For the Lord God Almighty reigns.” There is no drummer to keep the tempo solid, just thousands of people worshipping, and worshipping, and worshipping. Over & over they repeated this short song in praise to the Lord. You almost have to get past yourself to listen because it goes on longer than what’s “comfortable”. And what moved me most of all is that it sounded like waves crashing onto a shore. Ever steady, never ceasing.
I can’t help but think, “This must be a glimpse into what heaven is like.” Except unlike how this recording ends after 20 minutes, heaven never stops. We know there are thousands upon thousands (Revelation 5:11) who sing praise to our Lord. As well as the sound of “every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them” worshipping together as well (Revelation 5:13). We know the praise never ceases becasue it is written, “Day and night they never stop saying: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come” (Revelation 4:8).
If only we could bring that heart posture down to earth. Let us not wait for Heaven to sing a never-ending song to Him. He’s worthy of your praise right now. He is Holy, Holy, Holy.
